www.recipebook.co.zais an online recipebook with over 10 000 different recipes from around the world. The domain was registered in Jan 2006. We set up a script on the site that really did not take off and was really heavy on the bandwidth. Slowly we saw the user-ship climb however we knew something had to be done. We ditched the old script and turned it into a joomla powered site and have not looked back since. There are over 10 000 recipes on the site, it has an online converter and the site is growing from strength to strength. In 2007 the site peaked with over 180 000 impression in October and over 10 000 Unique users in October and uses over 4 gigs a month on bandwidth.  We are proud of the site and look forward to it growing. One thing that AWD has going for it is it’s freedom to create and hosts new sites on any one of it’s servers. We have set up a VPS server to test sites on it and check reaction to them. One of these such sites on this server is a site called www.phproxy.co.za it is a simple PHP proxy website witha  standard script. We have modified the script to stop hotlinking through the proxy as it was killing bandwidth. The site in one of its best months Jan 2008 used over 260 gigs of traffic! With this sort of usage we saw over 113 000 uniques in a calander month. This is phenominal! The page views were over 7.4 million.

This site is great however it would not log certain users into facebook so we set up a sister site called FACED.co.za which uses a difrent poxy script which allows users to loginto facebook without a problem. Then Phproxy became banned in  certain work places in South Africa so we set up more sister sites namely:

The domain is relatively new and is continuing to grow and attract interest. There are currently 46 users on the site with the same number of entries on the site. This is a site we hope to grow in the future and look forward to its future over whelming success.

With the bandwidth and usage that the site uses it is well needed. Webmania has grown from strength to strength and is listed with Google. Near the end of last year webmania stats were over 200 000 page impressions a month with over 20 000 unique visitors.
